Road Scholar Program

The Road Scholar Program is a nonprofit educational travel organization which provides lifelong learning oportunities for adults 50 and older.  Participants report that they benefit from the unique combination of study, travel, and friendship - a combination that is especially helpful for caregivers experiencing isolation and feelings of depression, stress and anxiety.  

The Road Scholar Program has recently created Caregiver Grants to provide Boomers and beyond with fnancial assistance to participate in their United States-based educational travel programs.

Caregivers are eligible for a grant of up to $1,300 towards a Road Scholar program if:

  • their loved one is receiving Home Care, Hospice, visiting nurse, LPN services, or comparable or related services.
  • ​their loved one is in Hospice, Adult Day CAre, Memory-care, Nursing Home or comparable or related facility.
  • they recently lost a loved one who was in any of the above situations.
  • ​they live in the United States and are 50 years of age or older.
