Help advocate for state-funded respite care in Illinois
Respite Care is essential to maintaining families' lives across Illinois. Please do not allow so many caregivers of individuals with special needs go without respite service. The few dollars saved will certainly be realized in the quality of lives for far too many.
If you need help creating an argument for Respite Care, use the Telling Your Story App! It is free and available to all advocates who want assistance in preparing a statement to legislation. It is available here.
Contact your legislators
In our current government, funding for Respite Care is being viewed as "non-essential" and threatens elimination. It is important for the respite community to get the word out that Respite Care is a necessary part of the state budget and a necessary support to caregivers across the state.
